How it works
Simply, you both work with us from 9.30am to 12 noon and we refund half your nights rental.
You can choose to help for up to 5 days in any one stay and the afternoon and evening are your own.

Everyone has 'special offers'....
but this year, we decided our offer would be something a little different...
Do you have a skill that would help us get any of our tasks completed?
Would you offer 'helping hands' in exchange for a refund on the rental fee?
For instance, in January, February and March, we need help re-painting the cottage and tidying up the garden.
From the beginning of June the cherries need picking - we have four mature trees and every year the birds have had a feast!
From Mid-September apples need collecting for the cider making.
There is wood to collect for the Bread Oven.
A new chicken house needs building
There is Jam to make.
The Fruit needs picking and preserving.
The garden always needs some attention.
perhaps you have a skill we haven't mentioned?
Who can do it?
Couples who can work as a team (but not necessarily on the same task!) and that could be husband & wife, partners or friends.
Good health, commonsense & a willingness to work are the main qualifications, so if you are interested, Email us with details of what your helping hands can offer and we'll see if we can work together!
The usual proviso 'subject to availability' applies and we reserve the right to say at any time, sorry, all the places are booked for this year.
We are busy people and we will need to arrange our diary ahead of time, so unfortunately, we will not be able to accept offers of help from guests after they have booked a full-priced stay or after they have arrived. The 'helping hands' offer must be made by you and agreed by us all, before you make your booking.
