Inside Petite Anna

On the ground floor:

The open plan living area has a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area with original oak beams, exposed brickwork and traditional Normandy granite fireplace. The kitchen area has a gas hob & oven, microwave, fridge & coffee maker, as well as plenty of cutlery and crockery. Probably the only item you’ll need to bring is your favourite vegetable knife! We can send you an inventory so that you know ahead of your stay, the equipment that is provided.

In the sitting area is an armchair and three-seater sofa bed -useful if two couples wish to share the cottage (but please note that the first floor bathroom / wc is accessed from the bedroom!

There is a sky satellite TV system with English terrestrial TV & music channels, and a DVD player. If you're into the history of the area there are WW2 DVDs and books about the battle of Normandie.

On winter evenings, curl up in front of a real wood fire with a good book. There are plenty in the cottage, as well as a file of brochures, books, leaflets & maps to help you get the most from your stay -whatever the season.

French doors lead from the living area to the garden and patio with sun canopy, garden furniture & barbecue.

On the first floor:

The spacious bedroom is reached by an open-tread stairway with trapdoor. We decided not to put in a false ceiling, build a mezzanine floor, or turn it into 2 bedrooms, so you can really appreciate the oak beams! They still bear the carved symbols of the artisan, used during construction.

The en-suite bathroom has velux window, full sized bath, (with shower mixer tap), hand-basin and wc. There are wall sconces in the bathroom, so you can bathe by candle-light if you wish!

Double bed with tulle drapes, a traditional Godin wood-burner, exposed brickwork, candle-lit niches and 300 year-old oak beams add to the romantic atmosphere.
