In the grounds we have a traditional Normandy bread oven which, unlike many in the region, is in a reasonable state of repair.  We have resisted suggestions to 'turn it into a gite' and have retained it as a working kitchen. Our local french friends are surprised and pleased that we are preserving their heritage!

We regularly use the oven for cooking and have had great success with wedding cakes, goose, turkey, cakes and of course, the local speciality teurgoule ( rice pudding! ). Even pizzas when cooked in our bread oven are a real delicacy!

We (and our friends) have had so much fun, we thought others might enjoy the experience. From 2006 we are offering a morning activity -definitely hands on-culminating in eating your home baked lunch! Take a look at the boulangerie images HERE.
